Ranse M. Partin, Of Counsel

 

For more than a decade, Mr. Partin represented the largest corporations in America at one of the largest law firms in the world. Now, every day, he gets to represent the underdog.

 

Recognized in multiple years as a “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers and Atlanta magazines, Mr. Partin handles a wide variety of complex business disputes and tort/injury cases. In addition to representing both plaintiff and defendant businesses in complex litigation, he also represents individuals harmed by the wrongful acts of others. Mr. Partin’s practice currently focuses on Georgia, but he has handled cases for clients across the Southeast and beyond. Mr. Partin currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Business Litigation Section.

 

Before founding Partin Law Firm, Mr. Partin practiced law at King & Spalding—an international, “AmLaw 50” law firm of more than 850 lawyers—as a member of K&S’s Healthcare, Business Litigation and False Claims Act (qui tam) practices. There, he represented numerous corporate clients, including many in the healthcare industry such as hospitals and health systems, pharmacy providers and managed care organizations. These matters typically involved specialized healthcare regulatory issues or intricate managed care issues. He often speaks and writes on healthcare litigation and related issues.

 

Mr. Partin has extensive experience in business litigation, having represented leading Fortune 100 companies, including The Coca-Cola Company and The Home Depot. He has litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts, including first-chair trial experience, both at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings in commercial disputes across the country. Mr. Partin has litigated many types of business claims, including breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, RICO, class actions, insurance coverage disputes, and ad valorem property tax litigation.

 

Mr. Partin graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the The University of Georgia, and has a B.A. from Emory University. Following law school, he clerked for two years for the Honorable Thomas W. Thrash, Jr., United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia.
