Were you recently involved in an accident in Georgia? It could have been a car accident, a fall at work, or a serious slip in a public place. Regardless of where it happened, you may now be suffering from some serious injuries. This may include damage to your spinal cord that you need medical attention for.

Which works better: MRI or CT scan?

Most leading experts believe that an MRI works best at diagnosing calcification in certain tissues, such as your bones. On the other hand, a CT scan tends to work better when it comes to diagnosing certain issues such as osteoarthritis, fractures, and related injuries.

Your doctor will be able to decide which sort of procedure is best for your personal needs. They may choose a CT scan because the procedure tends to produce results in a shorter amount of time. CT scans are also less expensive. They may be less effective than MRIs when diagnosing spinal cord injuries, however.

You need to document your accident injuries

Regardless of the type of medical attention you receive, one thing is certain: You should never refuse it. This type of injury has a wide range of common causes, none of which should be ignored. If you don’t get help right away, the injury could very quickly grow worse. The results could be permanent impairment or paralysis of some or all of your body.

You also should see a physician in order to get all of your injuries documented in the proper fashion. This includes any treatments, tests or medication that you receive as a result of your injuries. All of this counts as vital evidence and could become important later.
